The Where
Set on a generous plot in Valancheri surrounded by mature tropical vegetation, the site offered the opportunity to create a villa deeply embedded in its natural context.
The How
The design revives the traditional Kerala sloped roof form with modern materials — combining exposed brick, dark metal framing, and timber accents. Site photos show active excavation and foundation work underway.
The Details
Three distinct villa units share the site, each with its own parking, landscaped garden, and covered outdoor verandah. The dark roof and brick walls ground the villas in the regional architectural tradition while delivering 21st-century living standards.
